Telemetry Philosophy
Telemetry provides ordered, structured signals for authorization, routing, and training outcomes so operators can audit behavior and respond quickly.
Heartbeat Signals
Each module reports status (UP, DEGRADED, DOWN) with monotonic uptime safeguards to avoid invalid heartbeat states.
Log Channels
- Credential issued/verified/denied events
- Policy allow/deny decisions
- SFN operation attempts and outcomes
Metrics
Metric points support counters, gauges, and latency series such as authorization outcomes, credential verification latency, and CTS readiness metrics.
Status Packets
Status and heartbeat packet payloads can be emitted as standard integration packets for cross-service observability pipelines.
Alert Thresholds
Alerting focuses on authorization failures, degraded heartbeat states, and CTS readiness anomalies that exceed operational thresholds.
Failure Integration
Failure modes are mapped to telemetry triggers so containment and recovery actions can be automated and operator-visible.
